- Lighting:
And yes, we mean in every room. Most houses these days depend on minimal lighting, but lamps and fixtures are an essential addition to any home. Not only do they provide the adequate lighting needed so your eyes aren’t harmed, but they also add life to what could be a dull living space.

And you know what makes cooking easier? A knife set. Is it an investment? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Now get to chopping! - A Quality Vacuum Cleaner:
Think about it this way – would you prefer to re-vacuum the living room twice, or get it done on the first go? We thought so. Dig deep into those pockets and splurge on a quality vacuum cleaner – trust us, it’ll make cleaning a lot easier. - Plants
At least one green pretty plant to liven up the place. Also, it is a true test of keeping something alive!
- A Tool Box:
You’ll need it for all those DIY projects that are taking over social media. Plus, you never know when you’ll need a screwdriver, and they are pretty handy in emergencies. If you are unsure of what to buy, stick to the basics – nails, a screwdriver, a hammer, measuring tape, pliers and a wrench. - Extension Cords:
The way we live nowadays, we always have to stay connected. Whether it’s your phone, tablet or laptop, you will need a number of different extension cords in different sizes and lengths. Plan for one in each room, as well as a spare. - A Comfortable Mattress:
It doesn’t matter what your bed looks like, the secret is in the mattress. And if you want to get a good night’s sleep, which we are assuming you do, then make sure the mattress you choose is the right one for you. - Quality Bed Sheets and Towels:
Because as an adult, you should have nice things! And quality sheets and towels will survive the washer/dryer combo.
- A Full Length Mirror:
Taking a few minutes in the morning to look in the mirror is essential – and it’s going to be difficult to do that without a full length mirror. And no, standing on the toilet seat to great to the sink mirror is not an option. - A Good Internet Connection:
