National Day is just around the corner, and with so many celebrations taking place across Bahrain, here are a few of our top picks for venues to visit and events to check out in time for National Day.
1. Bahrain International Circuit:
One of the most anticipated National Day events takes place at the BIC, and this year, it will be between December 14 to 16. The BIC National Day Festival is held with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister and will include a number of children activities, a traditional souq, food and beverage stalls and live concerts. One of the most popular activities at the BIC National Day Festival is the spectacular fireworks display, which is also on the agenda for this year.
2. National Day Festival at Water Garden City:
Water Garden City’s National Day Festival will take place on December 15th and 16th and will include a number of activities to celebrate National Day. In addition to having the biggest fireworks display in the kingdom, the festival will include traditional song and dance shows, performances by artists Mohammad Abdul Raheem and Mohammad Al Tamimi, the Police Musical Group and much more. There will also be a dedicated area for children, where they can enjoy games and special performances during the festival. Throughout the festival, there will be a number of competitions and draws for visitors to win prizes.
3. Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities:
The Bahrain Authority for culture and Antiquities has already started celebrating National Day with an array of cultural events that includes art, music and Bahrain’s historical heritage. Some of the most exciting upcoming events include the Manama Doesn’t Sleep celebration, which is an exciting 12-hour program of music dance shows, literary talks, fine art exhibits and more. In addition, during the National Day celebrations, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities invites the public for a musical evening at the Bab.
Bahrain’s National Day is also celebrated across the country in schools, malls, parks and other venues, with children’s games, traditional song and dances and parades.
