For Agents: Tips for Showing Properties in the Summer

The hot summer months in Bahrain can be daunting to deal with, especially when trying to put on a successful viewing of a property. It’s always important to leave a long lasting, positive impression; here are a few simple things to consider when showing your clients a property in the summer.

1. Beat the heat:

As both the heat and the humidity can be overwhelming, it would be a nice gesture to ensure that some cold water and cold towelettes are available for your clients when they enter the property.

2. Ensure that the AC is working:

Nobody wants to walk in into an unconditioned property, and the first impression they receive of the property can shape up their entire opinion. So, make sure the air conditioning is on and works well.

3. Look out for humidity:
Humidity is a part of our lives in this part of the world, so make sure you scour the unit for any moldy spots or rooms that have signs of humidity in them. These two things can easily change the mind of a tenant on closing the deal.

4. Ensure close by parking:
Make sure you arrange for one or two parking spots close to the building. No one wants to spend 10 minutes in this heat walking to the property.

5. Think of shade:
If the property contains an outdoor area, then think of a shaded spot where your prospect can comfortably stay in. Yes, you won’t be outside for too long, but it’s still a good idea to have that available if possible.

6. Avoid the prime time:

It tends to get the most overwhelming between noon and 3pm. So, avoid any showings at those times if possible, and instead opt for early morning or evening appointments.
