With restrictions slowly easing and life going back to normal in Bahrain, here are a few things you can do to stay safe and protected when in public places:
1. Leave your house when necessary only:
Life may be going back to normal, but the virus is still around us. Think about it – do you have to leave your house? Only do so when absolutely necessary.
2. Wear a mask:
Wearing masks when out in Bahrain has been mandatory for a while, and many people are not taking it seriously. Make sure you wear your mask when in public – for your sake, and others.
3. Adhere to physical distancing:
Leaving a safe distance between each other has become the new norm. Make sure you maintain a distance of at least 1 meter between yourself and others when in public.
4. Discard masks and gloves correctly:
People are also feeling more comfortable when wearing gloves, to stop the spread of germs. If you do wear gloves, make sure you discard them correctly, as unfortunately, some people are just throwing them on the floor. In addition, if you do choose to wear gloves, ensure that they are changed regularly, as wearing them for long periods of time will actually spread the germs instead of containing them.
5. Keep your hands clean:
Ensure that you thoroughly wash your hands or sanitize them regularly. This will kill any germs that may be on your hands.
6. Take it seriously:
Life may slowly be going back to normal, but the virus is still here and can spread easily – take it seriously.
