Parents, you’re almost at the home stretch! There’s only a few weeks left for summer, and if you’ve been braving the heat in Bahrain this summer, here are a few things you can still do with the children for the last month before school starts.
1. Staycation:
Check in to your favorite hotel or resort and pretend you’re on a holiday! The children will love the idea and their imagination will help them get to the best out of a weekend in a hotel. Take advantage of summer offers, as most hotels have offers and discounted prices.
2. Cook/bake at home:
The internet is jam packed with kid friendly recipes that you can make at home. Put your chef hat on and enjoy your time in the kitchen!
3. Explore Bahrain:
Museums, malls, restaurants… whatever it is that you wanted to do; you now have the time for it! Go around town and explore all what Bahrain has to offer.
4. Enjoy Kid Friendly Venues:
Bahrain is also filled with children venues and that also offer summer promotions. There are a number of indoor kid areas in malls as well that they can enjoy.
5. Go on a Shopping Spree:
Set a budget for your children and take them out on a shopping trip! The budget doesn’t have to be something too big, but it’s the fun behind the idea that counts!
6. Game Nights:
Be it PlayStation, board games or even cards, set a competitive game night for the whole family to enjoy, where the winner gets a prize!
7. Charity Work:
It’s never too early to instill a sense of giving in your children. There are a number of charitable organizations around Bahrain that are always in need of donations.
8. Volunteer at an Animal Shelter:
Dogs, cats, and many other animals are living in shelters. Take the children to the many shelters and rescue groups that operate in Bahrain and have them spend time with the animals.
9. Indoor Camping:
Set up a tent and use a flashlight! Kids will love the idea of camping in the living room and you don’t have to deal the heat!
10. Movies:
Watch movies with kids where you each take turns choosing a movie, or pick one out of a hat!
11. Water Park:
Only if you can handle the weather, splash around Aqua Park for a fun filled day! (Don’t forget the sunblock!)
