It’s that time of year again; and we’re counting down to 2018 and getting ready for New Year’s Eve celebrations!
Here are a few tips to keep in mind if you’re hosting a New Year’s Eve party at your home for a memorable end of 2017!
1. Choose A Theme:
There are many ways you can take your party to the next level. Throwing it around a theme is one of them. Pick and choose as you see fit, and consider what will work and wont in your home.
2. Double Check Your Lighting:
To set the mood, lights should be dimmed, but not too dark. Make sure that the lights are consistent across your home as well. If you want to go all out, invest in a strobe light, disco light or any other decorative light suitable for a party.
3. Plan in Advance:
Think about what you will be serving, and how many people will be attending, and plan for a plus/minus five people situation. You will need to stock up on beverages, snacks, and party favors. If you are planning to serve dinner, stick to items that are easy to make, and can be reheated.
4. Plastic or Glass Tableware:
This all depends on what kind of part you will be having! If it’s an intimate dinner/gathering type of party, then glass is the way to go. However, if you are expecting a long night with lots of people and dancing, then plastic will make your life much easier!
5. Music:
The heart and soul of any party! Create a few playlists with different genres for different moods, and have them ready to be played. Ask your guests for recommendations as well!
6. Don’t Forget the Party Favors:
It’s New Year’s Eve! Remember hats, confetti and masks all add to a great party!
