Looking to move to a new home? Here are a few questions you need to answer before choosing the right property for you!
1. How much rent can I afford?
This is one of the most important questions you need to answer! You don’t want to be spending too much on rent, and get in over your head. At the same time, you shouldn’t set your expectations too low. Figure out a moderate balance; generally speaking, rent should not exceed 25% of your monthly income.
2. How much space do I need?
Do you need a one or two bedroom home? A studio? Maybe a three bedroom villa? Depending on your own situation, the size of the house will play a big role in your life. Families obviously need more space, while young professionals are better suited for a small home.
3. Furnished, semi furnished or unfurnished?
Do you own your own furniture? Do you own it all, with electrical appliances? Are you willing to invest in furniture? This will decide which furnishing you will choose your house to include. Remember, furnished homes are usually higher in price.
4. Where do I want to live?
Location is key! Especially in a county with such heavy traffic. Do you need to neat the office? Or a school? Or both? This will save you plenty of time in the car! This also applies to living in the city or the suburb as well, with the latter offering budget friendly rentals.
5. What type of neighborhood do I want?
Do you want to live in a compound? A more active area? The center of the city? Or somewhere a little more secluded? Depending on your answer, you can choose the best neighborhood for you.
