Those who spend their 9-5 in an office find it a little challenging to stay fit during the day.
Here are a few things to keep in mind for staying fit in the office.
1. Talk a walk:
If you have a lunch break, make some time for a quick walk, either outside around the neighborhood, or even around the office building.
2. Use reminders:
There are many apps that you can use should you not want to use your work calendar! Most of us are immersed in our daily tasks, so place reminders for a stretch, eye exercises, or even a walk!
3. Eat wisely:
Be it breakfast, lunch, or snacks, what you eat plays an important role in staying fit in the office. Choose healthy, nourishing snacks, and go for small meals throughout the days.
4. Try minor and simple exercises:
There are many short exercise drills that you can do while in the office, including curls, squats and side bends. Figure out which ones work for your environment and get moving!
5. Use the stairs:
No one expects you to fly up and down 15 floors, but if its applicable in your work place, walk up a few floors, and you’ll immediately see a change in your energy.
6. Don’t skip breakfast:
Rushing out the door in the morning is a national sport, but as the old saying goes, breakfast really is the most important meal of the day! Load up on healthy, energy-filled foods to keep you going!
